Amrah Johnson
Board Chair
Amrah Johnson joined the Board of Trustees in 2023, and her family has been actively involved in Intown Community School since 2016. During the day, Amrah works in finance at The Coca-Cola Company.
Stephen Maginas
Vice Chair
Stephen Maginas works with Geneva Benefits, an agency of the Presbyterian Church in America. He provides consulting and financial planning assistance to clergy, ministry staff, and like-minded organizations. Stephen is married to Lesley, an RN at Piedmont Hospital, and they have two children, Sophia and Gregory, who are students at Intown.
Chris Cooper
Treasurer
Chris Cooper is a CPA and serves as Corporate Controller of Insight Global, a staffing and consulting firm based in Atlanta. He joined the Board of Trustees in March 2026 and, with his wife Melissa, has been an active member of the Intown community since 2015. All four of their children — Molly Anne, Ava, Hampton, and Shepherd — have attended the school.
Brittany Wood
Secretary
Brittany Wood and her husband, Matt, have two children at ICS and joined the school community in 2023. She serves on the school’s Racial Diversity Council and has a background in secondary education.
Jim Fortenberry
Jim is a pediatric critical care physician who retired as Chief Medical Officer at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in 2025 after 33 years of service. He still provides support for pediatric burn patients at Grady Memorial Hospital and stays engaged in work with his church and other community organizations. Jim and his wife, Janet, are former Intown Community School parents (Ben, Erin, and Sara) and current ICS grandparents.
Esta Busby
Esta Busby and her husband, Ricky, have four children and have been a part of Intown Community School since 2022. When she is not volunteering at a school activity or shuttling the kids around, she works in Field Operations for Chick-fil-A.
Peter Paye
Peter was born in Liberia, West Africa. He came to faith as a teenager through the ministry of American missionaries. He serves as a Senior Public Health Advisor at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He is a member of Intown Community Church.
Lisa Kelly

Lisa Kelly serves as the Head of School for Intown Community School.
