Betsy Huey
Board Chair
Betsy Huey and her family, husband Brian, and children James, Jack, and Kate, have been involved at Intown Community School for more than a decade. Betsy joined the Board of Trustees in February 2020, and was appointed Chair of the Board in March 2024. When not at Intown Community School or Church, or on the ball field, Betsy works as a director for Atlanta’s nonprofit consulting firm, Coxe Curry & Associates.
Amrah Johnson
Vice Chair
Amrah Johnson joined the Board of Trustees in 2023, and her family has been actively involved in Intown Community School since 2016. During the day, Amrah works in finance at The Coca-Cola Company.
Chad Swanson
Treasurer
Chad Swanson is a CPA who specializes in small business/individual tax matters. His children attend ICS, and his wife, Ellen, is actively involved with the school. Chad spent a few years living in China before starting his accounting career.
Erica Kipfer
Secretary
Erica Kipfer has a background in mental health counseling and has spent the last several years focusing on raising her children and supporting her community of Clarkston. She works part-time with an organization that sends short-term teams to Clarkston and also a small business employing refugee women. She stays involved at Intown school with the many opportunities provided for parents.
Kirk Glaze
Kirk Glaze grew up in Montgomery, AL, came to faith in Jesus at age eight, and later grew significantly in his faith through Campus Outreach at Samford University. After spending time in Poland as a missionary, he and his wife, Susie, raised their three children in Atlanta. Kirk is retired after 32 years of service to the Coca Cola Company and serves as an elder at Intown Community Church.
Stephen Maginas
Stephen Maginas works with Geneva Benefits, an agency of the Presbyterian Church in America. He provides consulting and financial planning assistance to clergy, ministry staff, and like-minded organizations. Stephen is married to Lesley, an RN at Piedmont Hospital, and they have two children, Sophia and Gregory, who are students at Intown.
